Trainspotting 9 p.m., IFC

This 1996 junkie opus - which gave new meaning to the phrase "toilet humor" - has a little extra significance at the moment. For one thing, director Danny Boyle is getting kudos for his new movie, "Slumdog Millionaire." And then the cast features three current American TV notables. Jonny Lee Miller stars in the canceled but still airing "Eli Stone," Kevin McKidd is Owen Hunt on "Grey's Anatomy," and Robert Carlyle costarred in the recent "24" TV movie. Pictured (from left): Miller, Ewan McGregor, McKidd, and Ewen Bremner.

P.O.V.: Inheritance 9 p.m., Channel 2

For those like me who are drawn to holocaust documentaries, this one sounds quite compelling. "Inheritance" is about Monika Hertwig, the daughter of Amon Goeth, the sadistic Nazi played by Ralph Fiennes in "Schindler's List." In trying to come to terms with her father's deeds, Hertwig sets up a meeting with one of Goeth's surviving victims, Helen Jonas.

Deconstruction 9 p.m., DIY
