Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 10 p.m., Channel 5

I love the way Ryan Seacrest's name is riding its way to the top of the title. This annual party, around the dropping of the ball in New York's Times Square, will feature Fergie (above, with Seacrest), Lionel Richie, Natasha Bedingfield, and the Jonas Brothers.

A Miley-Sized Surprise 8 p.m., MTV

Miley Cyrus (above) hosts this special, featuring the Veronicas, Kevin Rudolf, and All Time Low. But there's also a reality gimmick, in that Miley will be hosting the show from the home of a lucky fan. MTV will reair the 90-minute special beginning at 10:30.
