Monk 9 p.m., USA

Gena Rowlands, love her. There's just something so heartbreaking about her and her quivery voice, and yet something so strong. Tonight, she guests as a woman who wants to be Monk's new best friend. But the neurotic detective (Tony Shalhoub, above with Rowlands), who is investigating a murder at a museum, is suspicious of her motives.

Invasion 8 p.m., Sci Fi

Sci Fi is reairing this short-lived show once again. "Invasion," which initially aired on ABC in 2005, had the potential to be a juicy prime-time series modeled after a B horror movie. William Fichtner (above) had a lot of hammy fun as the creepy sheriff. But not long after tonight's pilot, the "Invasion" plot, about creatures taking over the bodies of Florida residents, lost its way.

What Not to Wear 9 p.m., TLC
