Lie to Me 9 p.m., Channel 25

I'm reserving judgment on this show for a few more episodes. I love the idea of reading people's body language, facial expressions, and verbal tics to find the truth. And Tim Roth - Mr. Orange from "Reservoir Dogs," Van Gogh from "Vincent & Theo" - has a hammy good time. But so far, the procedural has been less than the sum of its parts - a little repetitive and predictable.

Marvin's Room 8:15 p.m., Showtime 2

Oh yeah, this 1996 movie is heavy enough, and talky, too. In the screenplay adapted by the late Scott McPherson from his own play, old family wounds are reopened and two sisters process their broken relationship. But it's got a trio of great performances by Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, and Leonardo DiCaprio, and sparks of black comedy throughout. It's one of DiCaprio's lesser-known gems.

Wally Gator in the sewers of New York.

World's Best Places to Pig Out 8 p.m., Travel Channel
