Lie to Me 8 p.m., Channel 25

Jennifer Beals jumps from "The L Word" to a recurring role on "Lie to Me" tonight. Maybe she can help this show grow into something less formulaic and showy? She'll play Tim Roth's ex-wife, and the mother of his daughter, Emily. By the way, Showtime recently turned down the pilot for the proposed "L Word" spin-off. The girls won't be back in town.

Lost 9 p.m., Channel 5

The 100th episode is a Daniel Faraday episode, which probably means we'll get more clarity about time, space, and the "Lost" rules of time travel. Or not. By the way, the casting department has had a little AMC thing going on lately. In the last new episode, Dean Norris - Hank the DEA agent from "Breaking Bad" - popped up as Miles's client who wanted to speak to his dead son. And Patrick Fischler - Jimmy Barrett from "Mad Men" - plays now-tied-up Dharma dude Phil.
