Lie to Me 8 p.m., Channel 25

Last week, the show seemed to be getting closer to its goal, which is to be something like "House" - a tonally over-the-top workplace drama, led by a brilliant maniac, with colleagues constantly double guessing one another. The episode, in which Daniel Sunjata played an imprisoned rapist, also took a step forward by introducing Mekhi Phifer as an FBI agent assigned to work with the Lightman Group. Phifer will be back in tonight's season finale, and possibly next season, if there is a next season.

Lost 9 p.m., Channel 5

After an hourlong clips special at 8, the two-hour fifth season finale heads our way. And it will probably keep our heads spinning until next year. Locke wants to kill Jacob, the hippies are leaving the island, and Kate, Sawyer, and Juliet are on the sub. One great pleasure lately has been watching the power dynamic shift between Ben and Locke. Tonight, Locke makes Ben perform an unpleasant task. Also tonight, whither Rose and Bernard.
