So You Think You Can Dance 8 p.m., Channel 25

The fifth season begins tonight, with host Cat Deeley. By the way, Fox announced this week that it will run a sixth season of this series in the fall, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In other words, the network is hoping to turn "So You Think You Can Dance" into an "American Idol"-sized programming anchor until "Idol" returns in January 2010. With back-to-back twice-weekly series, I think Fox is running the risk of burning out viewers, but we'll see. (Preview, Page 17)

Ugly Betty 8 p.m., Channel 5

The third season wraps tonight with a two-hour episode in which Henry pays a surprise visit to New York and Marc and Betty compete for a job at another magazine. And fans, you can relax: ABC has renewed "Ugly Betty" for the fall. However, the show is going to be moved to Friday nights.
