Love this show, and love the cast. Of note: Merrritt Wever (left), who plays Jackie’s nursing student, Zoey. She makes Zoey’s eagerness, innocence, and insecurity really sympathetic - and funny, too. She is the perfect foil for Jackie’s tough act. On her list of credits: She played Mountain Girl in “Neal Cassady’’!
Dance Your Ass Off 10 p.m., Oxygen
Really, Oxygen? Really? You couldn’t come up with a better title for your dance contest knock-off? But when I learned that this competition is also about losing weight, I realized that, no, Oxygen actually couldn’t come up with a better title. It’s perfect. The series begins tonight, with 12 people trying to lose weight and win a dance contest at the same time.
