GHOSTBUSTERS
(Comcast Free Movies) Manhattan looks great, and so do the ghosts, but an ill-crafted screenplay and leaden direction make Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd seem like zombies as they plod around in jumpsuits as exorcists for hire. (PG; runs through Sept. 3)

AN AMERICAN TAIL
(Encore on Comcast) Director Don Bluth teams up with producer Steven Spielberg to create a delightful animated fantasy that can rightly take its place along side anything produced by the present day folks at Disney. (G; runs through Sept. 10).

ATLANTIS: THE LOST EMPIRE
(Comcast Movies and Events) Handsome visual evocations, mostly in apt undersea blues, of the legendary undersea realm. But the story is a bit punchless. It and the characters are tilted toward the formulaic and, conceptually speaking, a generic Disney house style. (PG; runs through Sept. 10)
