Law & Order: Special Victims Unit 9 p.m., Channel 7

The show returns for its 11th season, which is amazing. I still think of “SVU’’ as a young show, because it arrived so many years after “Law & Order’’ (which returns for its 20th season on Friday). Wentworth Miller from the defunct “Prison Break’’ (above) is the guest of the week tonight, playing a cop who may be unstable.

Glee 9 p.m., Channel 25

I loved it last week when all-knowing tough-gal Mercedes couldn’t figure out Kurt’s sexual orientation. It was funny, and poignant, too. Sometimes we’re all blind to what is staring us in the face. Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt (above), is one of the show’s best discoveries.

The Beautiful Life 9 p.m., Channel 56

The ugly truth.

Eastwick 10 p.m., Channel 5

“Charmed,’’ I’m sure.

Giuliana & Bill 9 p.m., Style

If you know who they are, then you deserve to watch.

The New Adventures of Old Christine 8 p.m., Channel 4

Barb: Name = content.

Bored to Death 10 p.m., HBO

In that New York not-so-bored kind of way.
