Melrose Place 9 p.m., Channel 56

I was going to get excited about tonight’s return of original “MP’’ star Jane Mancini, played by ad-campaign face, People-style parenting expert, and, oh yeah, actress Josie Bissett. But now that Heather Locklear is set to return to the “MP’’ remake, well, all else pales. Locklear will return on Nov. 17. Sorry, Josie.

The Good Wife 10 p.m., Channel 4

Last week, this Julianna Margulies vehicle brought in about 14 million viewers. Not bad at all. Let’s see if the show can hold onto that number, as the curiosity factor fades. “The Good Wife’’ has some promise in its story of a political spouse whose life gets wrecked after her husband is in a sex scandal. But some viewers may be disappointed to find out that, for the most part, it’s a legal drama with cases of the week.

The Kardashian story.
