This month on Friday nights, TCM will be profiling different movie genres. Tonight is thriller night, with a look at the history and conventions of the genre, the roles of damsel in distress and femme fatale, and classic villains. Interviewees include Ken Follett, Bryan Singer, Diablo Cody (above), Kenneth Branagh, and David Koepp. Oh, and Mel Brooks, who made the Hitchcock spoof “High Anxiety.’’
