CSI: Crime Scene Investigation 9 p.m., Channel 4
The procedural “Without a Trace’’ disappeared - yeah, without a trace. And that was OK, since the crime stories had been played out after seven seasons and the character dramas never quite clicked. Tonight, Enrique Murciano, who played Danny Taylor on “Without a Trace,’’ guest stars on this series, as a detective.
Private Practice 10 p.m., Channel 5
Another crossover episode, this time featuring Chandra Wilson’s Dr. Bailey from “Grey’s Anatomy,’’ who brings a kidney patient to LA. ABC is hoping to perk up the “Private Practice’’ ratings, of course, which dropped a bit last week, down to 9.5 million viewers (“The Mentalist’’ got 14.7 million). But it will take more than a guest star to perk up the show’s lazy creative side.
