Alas, he’s doomed to be bullied at school, which his bullyish stepfather (Ed O’Neill) knows too well. Played by Rico Rodriguez (above), he’s an old, and adorable, soul.
Be Like Others: Transsexuals in Iran 8 p.m., HBO2
In Iran, sex-change operations are legal. But being gay is punishable by death. This documentary follows a few gay Iranian men who get gender-reassignment surgery in order to have relationships with men and avoid the ultimate penalty.
