BACK TO SCHOOL
(Comcast Movies and Events) Rodney Dangerfield as a nouveau riche businessman gets plenty of respect but deserves not a bit of it when he enrolls as a middle-aged freshman at his son’s college to help the boy get some fun out of life. Lacks the concentrated mania of the bug-eyed comic’s stand-up, but if you’re a fan of Rodney’s you’ll get some laughs. (PG-13; runs through Nov. 13)

CLOCKERS
(Comcast Movies and Events) Spike Lee puts a human face on characters usually relegated to stereotype as he turns a young drug dealer’s soul into a moral battleground. Mekhi Phifer, as the agonized dealer, is sweet and smart and tough. Delroy Lindo, as the charismatic drug middleman who serves as father figure to the clockers, is also a standout. (R; runs through Nov. 13)

CROOKLYN
(Comcast Movies and Events) Spike Lee goes home again in this warm, personal, deeply felt fictionalized autobiography. It never backs away from the pain and conflict in his household, yet emerges as a loving family portrait of specific people in the relatively innocent ’70s. Terrific performances by Alfre Woodard and Delroy Lindo as the parents trying not to let marital and economic stresses overwhelm them. (PG-13; runs through Nov. 13)
