THE BOURNE SUPREMACY
(Comcast Movies: All Movies) It has little to do with Robert Ludlum’s novels other than the premise — amnesiac ex-CIA hit man keeps coming up against his past — but this terse, tight, impressively smart sequel to “The Bourne Identity’’ continues to revive the old Cold War spy genre for a new century of international anxiety. Paul Greengrass (“Bloody Sunday’’) directs; Matt Damon stars and plays Bourne without an ounce of movie-star fat. (PG-13; runs through May 17) TY BURR

BASIC INSTINCT
(HBO on Comcast) A cheap, silly, seductive movie you won’t stop watching, it’s the “Wall Street’’ of sexual politics. The hard-sell sex here has more to do with dominance and takeovers than eroticism as murder suspect Sharon Stone plays mind games with homicide cop Michael Douglas. (R; runs through May 17)

RACHEL GETTING MARRIED
(Starz on Comcast) This movie is multiracial, multi-ethnic, and polyphonic, like Cambridge letting Williamsburg and Brooklyn move into its house. The central drama concerns a junkie home from rehab in time for the wedding of her sister. Director Jonathan Demme strikes a balance between weepiness and eccentricity.
