THE BOURNE SUPREMACY
(
BASIC INSTINCT
(HBO on Comcast) A cheap, silly, seductive movie you won’t stop watching, it’s the “Wall Street’’ of sexual politics. The hard-sell sex here has more to do with dominance and takeovers than eroticism as murder suspect Sharon Stone plays mind games with homicide cop Michael Douglas. (R; runs through May 17)
RACHEL GETTING MARRIED
(Starz on Comcast) This movie is multiracial, multi-ethnic, and polyphonic, like Cambridge letting Williamsburg and Brooklyn move into its house. The central drama concerns a junkie home from rehab in time for the wedding of her sister. Director Jonathan Demme strikes a balance between weepiness and eccentricity.
