VICKY CRISTINA BARCELONA
(TMC on Comcast) This Woody Allen movie is a fitfully good romantic comedy that lapses into tourism and dumb gags. It looses Scarlett Johansson’s lusty but insecure Cristina and Rebecca Hall’s prim Vicky on Spain. Both women’s lives are up-ended when a stranger invites them to fly to Oviedo for sex. There’s tremendous grace in what Penélope Cruz does here. (PG-13; runs through Aug. 5) WESLEY MORRIS

MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND
(Comcast Movies: All Movies) Why is a movie with Uma Thurman fighting New York City crime in heels and a beret not bigger fun? Oh, that’s right: Because she’s crazy. Thurman plays a superhero whose new boyfriend (Luke Wilson) dumps her because she’s too needy and possessive. This is a dude’s one-way fantasy tinged with an element of fear. Having killed Bill, Thurman, sadly, must now be cut down to size. (PG-13; runs through Aug. 5)

THE SCORE
(TMC on Comcast) Robert De Niro, Edward Norton, and Marlon Brando kick a retro heist movie around as if it were a soccer ball. It’s an acting slugfest as De Niro’s wary safecracker, Norton’s cocky inside man, and Brando’s loose-cannon fence play flavorfully off one another. The film’s Montreal settings and obvious affection for jazz add to its charm and its vintage feel. (R; runs through Aug. 5)
