2 FAST 2 FURIOUS
(Starz on Comcast) This sequel to 2001’s street-racing hit concerns California petty criminals who aid the feds in bringing down a Miami crime lord. You need a high tolerance for skull-crushing sound effects, the gaudy fashion of South Florida, and a woeful lack of movie stars for maximum enjoyment. You’ll also need a great big appreciation for 1980s-style buddy-cop action shows. With Paul Walker, Tyrese, Cole Hauser, Eva Mendes, and the rapper Ludacris. (PG-13; runs through Dec. 9) WESLEY MORRIS

THE LAST SONG
(Comcast Movies: All Movies) Miley Cyrus plays a sulky teen whose mood improves when she meets a boy (Liam Hemsworth) the summer before she chooses not to go to college. Tragedy ensues. Allegedly, this is the movie in which Cyrus gets all, like, dramatic. If by “dramatic’’ one means pouty, sullen, and cute, then OK. The bad news is it’s cheap and predictable (whoever coughs loudest is hospitalized soonest) and serves only to punish. Nicholas Sparks co-adapted his novel himself. (PG; runs through Jan. 2) WESLEY MORRIS

FAMILY BUSINESS
(Encore on Comcast) A mostly listless outing — half heist caper, half family reconciliation drama — about three generations of Manhattan crooks. Despite moments, Sean Connery, Dustin Hoffman, and Matthew Broderick never convince us they’re members of the same family, let alone the same gene pool. (R; runs through Dec. 16)
