The Golden Globe Awards Tomorrow at 8 p.m., Channel 7

Ricky Gervais returns, after doing such a nice job hosting the TV-and-movie party last year. He acts like Hollywood is a strange foreign country to him, as he goofs on the audience; and he is funny. But, of course, Gervais (pictured) is as Hollywood as any of them at this point. For best TV drama, I’m going with “Mad Men,’’ and for best TV comedy, my money is on “Modern Family’’ with “Glee’’ — last year’s winner — as a potential spoiler. Red carpet coverage starts at 6 on E! and at 7 on Channel 7.

Denis Leary and Friends: [Expletive] and Donuts 10 p.m., Comedy Central

Our boy lets loose, as always, in this new standup special, taped live in New York City. Leary will tell it like he thinks it is, with some help from Adam Ferrara, Whitney Cummings, and, of course, Lenny Clarke. By the way, Leary’s “Rescue Me’’ returns later this year for nine episodes, finishing up for good on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Saturday Night Live 11:30 p.m., Channel 7

Gwyneth Paltrow, with Cee Lo Green of the hit song “Hug You.’’

Californication 9 p.m., Showtime

More hugging and punching for Hank.

Shameless Tomorrow at 10 p.m., Showtime

Will Fiona and Steve stop hugging?
