Parenthood 10 p.m., Channel 7

This show has really done a lot to forward understanding of Asperger’s syndrome. Tonight, little Max has a birthday party hosted by an older man with Asperger’s who is played by Michael Emerson. That sounds like perfect casting: Emerson is a skilled actor who’ll probably be able to pull this off gracefully and enigmatically. As Ben on “Lost,’’ he was good, but the script often required him to be overly dramatic and make some illogical personality swings. Pictured (from left): Monica Potter, Peter Krause, and Emerson.

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show 8 p.m., USA

The coverage of the 135th annual event continues at Madison Square Garden in New York, where all those cuties compete for Best in Show. The announcers are David Frei, Tamron Hall, and Tiffany Simons. By the way, there are six new breeds debuting in the competition this year: the Boykin Spaniel, the Bluetick Coonhound, the Redbone Coonhound, the Cane Corso, the Leonberger, and the Icelandic Sheepdog. What, no Ridgebackpoos?

The Good Wife 10 p.m., Channel 4

It’s a Zuckerbergian plot. The show, that is, not the web.
