Friday Night Lights 8 p.m., Channel 7
Full hearts indeed. Tonight is the series finale, which runs 90 minutes. I’ve seen it, and it’s just perfect - the kind of goodbye you’d expect from such an emotionally honest, authentic, and low-key drama. There’s some resolution - but not too much, so that it’s all wrapped nicely with a bow. The finale is also terribly sad, because these characters have seemed so real. You feel as though, after knowing them intimately for five years, you’re losing them forever. Which, alas, you are. Pictured: Taylor Kitsch and Adrianne Palicki.
Torchwood: Miracle Day 10 p.m., Starz
This season of the US-set “Torchwood’’ is entertaining, especially now that the writers have got the team in place. It’s especially great to see Lauren Ambrose from “Six Feet Under’’ having fun as the slippery, ambitious PR agent Jilly Kitzinger. My only complaint is Mekhi Phifer, who is just too angry and annoying as Rex Matheson. He spends too much time yelling at others. OK, you’ve got a hole in your chest, you’re in pain, we get it.
