The Closer 9 p.m., TNT

Here I was getting all grievy and mopey because it’s the last season of “The Closer.’’ I’ll miss Brenda and her Southern-esque accent. But actually, this is only the first half of the last season; the second half will air next summer. So all this business about the suit against Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick) and her department may not be the endgame. I’ve admired the fact that the show is taking her to task for what she did last season, sending an admitted killer to his death. She took justice into her own hands when the system failed.

The Big C 10:30 p.m., Showtime

Parker Posey (above) costarred with Lauren Ambrose in one of the Worst Sitcoms That Should Have Been Great, namely “The Return of Jezebel James’’ from Amy Sherman-Palladino of “Gilmore Girls.’’ But let’s forget about that, because she was so great on “Parks and Recreation’’ as Leslie Knope’s enemy, and she is going to be on “The Good Wife’’ this season as Eli Gold’s ex-wife. And tonight, she’s guesting on “The Big C,’’ as a woman Adam meets in a chat room for kids of people with cancer.

The Millionaire Matchmaker 9 p.m., Bravo

Tori Spelling guests as a model wife/career woman. And . . . scene.

Rizzoli & Isles 10 p.m., TNT

Ah, the old witches-are-still-in-Salem trope.

Life as We Know It 9 p.m., HBO Signature

Run! It’s The Heigl!

Hoarders 9 p.m., A&E

Hoarding spoiled food. There’s no place like compost.
