Critic’s corner

How stupid will I look on Monday morning? We’ll see. Here are some of my predictions, which definitely aren’t my druthers. In comedy, the winners will be “Modern Family,’’ Laura Linney, and Steve Carell. In drama, “Mad Men,’’ Jon Hamm, and Julianna Margulies. Jane Lynch (pictured) is hosting the show, which will be preceded by a red-carpet special at 7 on Fox and at 6 on E!

Mildred Pierce 8 p.m., TCM

Tomorrow night, the remake of “Mildred Pierce’’ starring Kate Winslet is up for 21 Emmy awards. Tonight, TCM is airing the original version, which is a completely different enterprise. The HBO miniseries is a layered look at Depression-era struggles; this one is noir crime drama, with Joan Crawford showing off her mad acting skills - and her mad eyebrows.

Porn for dog lovers.

How Will the World End? Tomorrow at 8 p.m., Discovery

In a hail of Kardashian.
