Glee 8 p.m., Channel 25
Is the “Glee’’ bubble popping? Last week’s season premiere didn’t do terribly well in the ratings, and the 3D concert movie tanked over the summer. The premiere brought in about 9.2 million people, whereas last year’s season premiere scored 13 million. I’m thinking Ryan Murphy and his writers may have alienated audiences last season, with an excess of stunt-casting, theme episodes, plotlessness, and character inconsistencies. Also, the show and its stars have been overexposed between the tour, the movie, the reality show, and the endless promotion for all of them.
Unforgettable 10 p.m., Channel 4
Last week’s pilot featured a homicide involving people in Carrie’s own apartment building, so her detailed recollections were useful. Tonight, we will begin to find out exactly how the writers are going to employ Carrie’s memory to solve crimes that have nothing to do with her. I like Poppy Montgomery and Dylan Walsh, and so do viewers. The show drew a healthy 14 million viewers for the premiere.
