THE THREE MUSKETEERS (Max on Comcast) There can’t be one for all: Every generation has its remake of the Dumas classic. We get this “Young Swords’’ version, with Kiefer Sutherland and Charlie Sheen along with Oliver Platt and the even younger Chris O’Donnell. Tim Curry and Rebecca De Mornay bring juice to the villains, and the stars bring energy to the swashbuckling. (PG; runs through Oct. 13)

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE (Max on Comcast) In adapting Maurice Sendak’s classic book, director Spike Jonze has teased out the melancholy along with the magic. The film has more than its share of wild rumpuses, but its heart is in what happens after the rumpus dies down. Max Records is a fine Max; James Gandolfini and others provide voices.
