"Scrubs" Rubs the Wrong Way

Last week's episode of "Scrubs" just hasn't been sitting well with me. I've loved the show for years, and have admired the way it swings from comedy to drama so naturally. But last week, the swing into drama was just a little too ... "Dynasty"-y.
Basically, J.D. learned that Kim had a miscarriage, but we learned that Kim was lying, that she is indeed still having J.D.'s baby. That kind of soap twist is just out of tempo with the show. I don't have a problem with "Scrubs" reaching beyond its usual messages about self-awareness and friendship. Recently, the writers have been a little more political than usual, particularly in the episode about the doctors' differing stances on the war in Iraq. And that has been an interesting development.
But this kind of Big Deception belongs on "Desperate Housewives." Perhaps J.D. will find out the truth, and understand that Kim lied because she didn't want him to stay with her out of obligation; and perhaps it will all resolve humorously. In the meantime, though, the Kim Baby Plot is a bit of a groaner.

hi. I love scrubs and everything in it and anyone who say's that scrubs is a bad show then they will never exist in my world. I love JD and everyone and stuff you know and that is what got me through alot of bad times and I am so happy for that. I was really sad when it ended but it has to go somewere. That is alway's that sad bit of it all but they still show it so I guess that it is okay. I LOVE SCRUBS!
