Have I given up on "Studio 60"? Effectively, yes. Didn't get around to watching it the last couple of weeks, and didn't care. Caught up last night and was underwhelmed. The behind-the-scenes stuff was actually interesting; I suspect that in real life, getting a sketch on the air on "SNL" is as competitive and tense as it looked on TV. The character stuff? Snore. The network-behind-the-scenes stuff? Yeah, right. The Minor Twist relating to the Preposterous Reality Show? Big whoop.

Aaron Sorkin really does like writing those Perry Mason moments, in which a giant light bulb goes off in a character's head, prompting a witty comment and the end of a scene. I just don't like watching them so much, even to make fun of them later.

I mean, come on. Do these guys look like they want to be mocked?
