If you want to avoid spoilers for this week's "Battlestar Galactica," don't read past the jump. But I've got something to say...

I'm hoping against hope that more is coming -- that they didn't lead us along with all of this "Kara Thrace has a destiny" stuff just to end it - kaboom - like that. Given the "Final Five" mystery and the vague dropped hints to the press, I was watching tonight with one eye on the clock, waiting for the moment when Starbuck wakes up covered in goo on a Cylon resurrection ship.

Maybe it'll happen next week; I should probably assume that there's meaning in the moment when Kara's dying mother whispers, "You're my daughter." Because it would be ridiculous to think the producers would just summarily throw away one of the best acting performances on TV right now - and one of the most interesting female characters on TV ever - just because everyone got sick of the Kara-Lee love quadrangle, right? Right?
