...dary

CBS, I think I love you. No matter what else you do this fall, and there are sure to be some ouchers come September, I will always be grateful that you decided to renew "How I Met Your Mother." I have become so fond of this show, and I consistently admire its invention. Yes, it's an old-fashioned sitcom, but one with original, witty, and heartfelt writing, as well as some clever fast-forwarding and rewinding.
This season's finale was a nice way to end the Ted-Robin arc, and I suppose it could have served as a series closer. The disolution of Ted and Robin's love affair felt authentic and final, since the groundwork had been laid throughout the season. But now the writers can move closer to introducing the mother of the title. Or maybe they never will get to her, as Ted goes in and out of relationships throughout the series. Maybe Ted will finally get introduced to her in the very last moment of the very last episode.
Now that would be legen--wait for it--...
