The return of scripted TV

Posted by Joanna Weiss February 13, 2008 02:22 PM

Welcome back, writers! Now, get to work. Here's a running tally of when the networks expect to be up on the air with original episodes. The list is long, and in some cases vague, but it's here for your perusal after the jump. I'll update as new information comes in.

And while I've got your attention, I'd love to hear about your viewing habits during the strike - especially if you found yourself newly hooked on reality TV. Are you looking forward to new scripted shows, or have you given up on a lackluster season and devoted yourself to "Moment of Truth"? E-mail me at weiss@globe.com.

  1. HOORAY !!! I'm so glad the strike is over. My favorite show will be returning; I'm in need of more romantic chemistry between Mick St. John and Beth. Go MOONLIGHT !! Counting the days till April 11.

  1. I realize that I am one of only about 50 people who still watch "Las Vegas," but has NBC said whether or not they are bringing it back in the fall yet? I know they have already talked about FNL, so I wondered if there was Vegas news since they are both ending this week.

  1. Boo Hoo... Where's Men in Trees? Other then that I am very happy to have scripted television back. Some of this reality #*#! is off the chain.

  1. I like the sitcoms so the strike got me away from the box more than usual. Have basic cable & noticed I watched more SciFi channel and CNN primary coverage, both of which are pretty amusing!

  1. I'll be happy for the Office and 30 Rock, but some of my favorites aren't back until the fall (Heroes, Pushing Daisies). Although, that's fine - it gives me time to get control over my Hulu addiction! :)
