"In Treatment": Separation Anxiety

I'm having trouble letting go of "In Treatment." I really grew accustomed to its face, so to speak, and relished my weekly glut of 5 episodes at once. I write about terminating with the series in today's Globe, here, and I would like to add to my praise a few pleas:
To Emmy voters: Don't ignore this cast, as you have ignored the amazing cast of "The Wire." It's time to learn from that huge mistake. Gabriel Byrne deserves notice, as do Mia Wasikowska, Dianne Wiest, and Michelle Forbes. Yes, it's a complex show, and yes, it requires some commitment to viewing. But that's what being an Emmy voter is about, right? Right?
To HBO: Please renew. You've already given "Tell Me You Love Me" a second season, and "In Treatment" is so much more worthwhile. I understand that this will not be the series that will hoist you back up to the top of the cable heap and bring in millions of new subscribers. But it will help to maintain your reputation as a home for risk-taking, high-quality drama. And that's something, isn't it?
