Status Quo: almost there

Just a brief note of condolence to fans of Status Quo, which finished second in the "Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew" finale on MTV last night. (Couldn't Randy have made an appearance on the show that bears his name? Or did I miss him while I was brushing my teeth?)

I actually had a soft spot for the mixed-gender crew Kaba Modern from Irvine, Calif., but Status Quo are our local boys done good, and they worked hard and made it far. To paraphrase one of the judges, everyone was smoov.
