The CBS Fall Schedule

Posted by Joanna Weiss May 14, 2008 11:52 AM

Here's a first look at what CBS would like you to watch come fall. The biggest news of all (from my standpoint): "How I Met Your Mother" is officially on the schedule. Britney's second appearance this week may have drawn fewer viewers than her first -- 9 million, compared to 11 million -- but for better or worse, she might have helped the show survive.

Also, "The New Adventures of Old Christine" returns in the fall, but moves to Wednesday to make room for the new sitcom "Worst Week" on Mondays. And "The Unit" is back, but moves to 10 p.m. on Sundays.

MONDAY
8:00 p.m. "The Big Bang Theory"
8:30 p.m. "How I Met Your Mother"
9:00 p.m. "Two and a Half Men"
9:30 p.m. "Worst Week" (New series)
10:00 p.m. "CSI: Miami"

TUESDAY
8:00 p.m. "NCIS"
9:00 p.m. "The Mentalist" (New series)
10 p.m. "Without a Trace" (New time)

WEDNESDAY
8:00 p.m. "The New Adventures of Old Christine" (New time)
8:30 p.m. "Project Gary" (New series)
9:00 p.m. "Criminal Minds"
10:00 p.m. "CSI: NY"

THURSDAY
8:00 p.m. "Survivor"
9:00 p.m. "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation"
10:00 p.m. "Eleventh Hour" (New series)

FRIDAY
8:00 p.m. "Ghost Whisperer"
9:00 p.m. "The Ex List" (New series)

10:00 p.m. "The Unit" (New time)

  1. I am disappointed that SHARK is not on the fall schedule for 2008. It is a very intelligent show, and James Wood and his gang are terrific in their roles.
Please find a way to put it back in.

  1. Bring back Shark.

I can't take anymore of these so-called news/Mysteries, such as 48 hours mysteries.

  1. They cancel new entertaining shows like Moonlight and keep the rediculous CSI shows. Also the David Letterman show is old and boring.

I won't be watching CBS this fall.

  1. Moonlight, Shark, Cane and Welcome to the Captain were the best shows CBS had this year. In addition, Swingtown is by far a bigger hit than anything else they have on TV. Are any of them still alive? Nope...But we still get all the other beat down series - Survivor - CSI - etc...

  1. Television is losing it's more intelligent influences based on viewer comments, which don't say everything. There aren't many people who are willing to take the time to find a forum and post to keep their favorite shows on air; especially a more mature audience. Shark is a favorite among most people I know (and in my business, that's saying a lot). CBS really needs to evaluate another method of polling their older audience for shows such as this. BRING BACK SHARK!

  1. What about Jericho? That was my favorite. Bring that back.

  1. Shows for people who have some brains are needed, Ones where writers need to write a script with a story line. Shark, Crossng Jorden are just two. Try some story lines that require some thought.

  1. ill sign that petion of yours for moonlight & shark

  1. Jericho is the one that bugs me the most. I really enjoyed that show. I never missed an episode. Anyone who missed it mised a cool show. But as usual TV Execs assault us with ads and pump up the shows to suck us in and then yank them away. God I hate them.

  1. Last year we put up with shows beginning and then wating for them to come back because of the writer's strike. It was difficult to keep an audience. We really loved watching Moonlight every Friday. You need to give the show a chance. It will not be the first time a show CBS cancelled became a hit. Let's be honesty you have a lot of junk on. I think we have put up with reality TV for long enough!

  1. Bring back Moonlight! We are sick and tired of losing the good Friday night shows! Who chooses? Hey tv execs...... listen to the people/viewers!!! WE WANT MOONLIGHT BACK!!!!! It is October 1st already. Get Mick (Alex) back!

  1. Sorry to see that CANE and SHARK are not back ..I've waited all summer for them.. The strike didn't even Cane a chance.

  1. Bring back Shark - 3rd best show on CBS - what were you thinking

Posted by Jim Oakley October 7, 08 07:08 PM
  1. very disappointed that Shark got discontinued.
CSI, Law and order and some other detective series have become too annoying reaching up to 8 seasons, while Shark was still fresh and had added a new twist to the genre, not to mention that Shark is a much more intelligent series.
I don't think saying "bring Shark back" will actually bring it back, but I'll do it anywayz.

    Regards
