'Project Runway:' As seen on NBC

Ah, the joys of cross-promotion. For one more season, before it moves to Lifetime, "Project Runway" is airing on Bravo, owned by NBC Universal -- which means this is the last chance to use the show to shamelessly hawk the NBC lineup. How many times did Brooke Shields mention "Lipstick Jungle" last night? How many "Lipstick Jungle" ads aired during the show? Early on, I lost count. All I know is, no TV character worth her salt, regardless of the network, would have worn a half-tucked blouse and a pair of Bermuda shorts to a corporate meeting. Although isn't that Brooke's fault for choosing Blayne's design in the first place? Maybe -- spoiler coming -- that's one reason the judges decided to knock off Kelly and her hoochie-mama suit. But you can't help but think they were also relucant to let go of tiny, tanorexic, telegenic Blayne. (Also, for the record: I liked Jerrell and Stella's dress the best.)

  1. But Blayne didn't have his design chosen, he was almost eliminated instead of Kelli! It was Keith who took top prize. Jeeze, if you're going to call spoiler alert, at least get the right spoils.

  1. Brooke chose Blayne's design at the outset as one of the six to be produced. I had no idea why she thought Bermuda shorts would work, and I had a feeling the judges wouldn't, so I thought that put poor little Blayne in a tough spot.

Spoiler alert referred to the elimination...
