Moynahan and Wahlberg to Co-star in 'Bunker Hill'

Why it's a Boston TV scoop extravaganza...!

Bridget Moynahan, the Tom Brady ex, has signed on a new TNT series called "Bunker Hill." And guess who's co-starring with her? Donnie Wahlberg. And guess where the new crime drama from Jerry Bruckheimer is set? Yup, our own Bunker Hill area.

Wahlberg will play a cop who returns to Boston to protect the streets where he grew up. And Moynahan will play his sister-in-law, with whom he has a fraught relationship. I'm rooting for Wahlberg, who hasn't had much luck on TV lately, even though he's such a natural TV star.

PS at 1:40 p.m.: Moynahan is originally from Longmeadow.

  1. Bridget Moynahan is from Longmeadow! Doesn't that make her more than an honorary local?

  1. Really, is all the action going to occur in the housing project? Or are they going to make believe the the "code of silence" still exists and that there are still townies left in Charlestown.

These sort of scripts worked alright ten years ago in movies such as "Monument Ave" and "Southie" but it is time to move on.

  1. Bridget Moynahan is simply beautiful! Tom Brady must have been out of his mind when he split with her! His new girlfriend is definitely not as attractive as Bridget M. with her stunning, Irish good looks!

  1. they mean honorary because she wasn't born in massachusetts

  1. Wahlberg should not give input if we have to deal with the foolishness that people remember from the 80's around here. The town has changed considerably. The last thing we need is negative crap. Donnie has been gone a long time and Bruckheimer hopefully did his homework.

  1. Skinny Obviously you didn't see her posing next to the baby crib in Vanity Fair ? in the nighty. My nephew said she was a pretty good basket Player in Longmeadow. She was voted best legs in the class.

  1. the code of silence is like fight club - it doesn't get talked about, doesn't mean it isn't there. ;-) And its not like Charlestown is suddenly suburbia I'm sure there is plenty of crime to write fictional stories about. Guiliani cleaned up NYC when he was mayor but many Law & Orders still persist.

  1. Well, I hope someone hides all the remaining townies who aren't smart enough to clean up their property and sell it because most of that place is a dump! I also love how these private schoolers and rich kids moved in to C-Town after their parents bought the dilapidated buildings for pennies on the dollar, then moved their kids in. Now these wealthy silver spoon babies walk around saying that they're from Charlestown. "YOU'RE NOT FROM C-TOWN. YOU ARE JUST LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A PARENT BUY YOU A PLACE TO LIVE THAT IS CLOSE TO BOSTON. YOU LIVE HERE. YOU'RE NOT FROM HERE."

  1. @6--- the code of silence still exists. Even though I lived in their friend's building, my neighbors wouldn't help me when my car was seriously vandalized and they saw the people doing it real-time.

  1. I agree with the "code of silence"... years ago my friends and I (in a car) were being chased by another car... UNluckily chased into a dead end street... as we all ran out of the car (while people came out with BATS -- men and women)... we banged on doors and windows of homes in the neighborhood... and NO ONE did anything. dont ask me HOW nothing happened to any of us and we got out of it... but oh YES, that code exists all right....

  1. I am from ctown born and raised on old ironsides way to me your not a townie just becuz you live there or just moved there a true townie is a person who's family has generations living there and you have to have been born an raised there townies are all for the most part Irish and the code of silence isn't talk about it's kinda like a rule that we are all raised to follow it. Ctown is so small its only 1 square mile everybody knows eachother and everyones business "what happens in charlestown stays in Charlestown" but if your a cop know ones gonna talk to you and if you do ur considered a dirtbag
