My Globe colleague Mark Shanahan did a short, tart interview with Rachel Maddow, in Sunday's Globe Magazine. It's definitely worth checking out, here.
Maddow's show was a highlight of last year's spike in political comedy (which was #1 on my Top 10 list), and she continues to make me laugh -- and cry -- with her nightly Lame Duck Watch, "because someone's gotta do it." I find her wry, sane tone easy to take, and I only hope she doesn't continue to be increasingly self-referential about her show's battles with others. Keith Olbermann goes too far with that kind of insidery stuff.
Last week's "SNL" impersonation of Maddow by Abby Elliott? It was OK. She definitely got the mouth thing right.
