Ethan Zohn has cancer

Local guy Ethan Zohn, who won "Survivor: Africa," was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's disease. He has been told by doctors that he has a rare form of the disease, called CD20-positive Hodgkin's Lymphoma, according to People magazine. His diagnosis came after months of night sweats and itching, and he began chemo last week. "This is the ultimate game of Survivor," Zohn, 35, tells People , "and there's really only one outcome, and that's to win. There's no other option."
Zohn is originally from Lexington. I recall his $1,000,000 victory during the third season of "Survivor" in 2002 as representing the triumph The Nice Guy. "Survivor" is known for transforming its players into backstabbers, but Zohn kept his integrity and reticence all the way past the finish line. No Richard Hatch, he. Zohn's girlfriend, "Survivor: The Amazon" winner Jenna Morasca, tells People, "I will fight with every fabric of my being to get him through this."
