I thought the hokey recorded background music did not match the spectacular fireworks. Bring back The Pops playing Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture!
Then why wasn't it in HD? NY's fireworks were BETTER LOOKING THAN OURS on TV...what a disgrace.
but not in HD!... looked TERRIBLE compared to the other televised celebrations
why do you not note when a show is a repeat? don't you think that is important information in a story about television ratings?
When is WBZ going to broadcast the 4th of July Boston Pops in HD. They are the only 4th of July program not in HD.
Channel 5 needs to get the rights back for the 4th of July Boston Pops. They do a much better job of covering it than Channel 4. If Channel 5 had it, it would have been in HD and A&E would have the national telecast in its entirety, not just one hour that the CBS network has.
