These days, when celebrities get in trouble (or fall on their heads), they have a knack for turning it into (free!) viral promotion. And so Letterman was a little careless last week when he said he wouldn't talk about the sextortion case again on his show. Public interest is still extremely high, and so he needs to talk about the bad situation more on the air, to fulfill its promotional promise. He must ride the wave.

I'm not saying Letterman is happy he was a victim of attempted extortion, but I do think he's doing his best to transform it all into ratings. And so here is the item and the viral clip from last night's "Late Show," but no, I am not employed by the "Late Show" publicity department! This time Dave told us, "Those episodes are in the past." He said his wife has been "horribly hurt," and "I got my work cut out for me" regarding their marriage.
