I don't often come across a Boston angle when it comes to NBC's "Friday Night Lights," it being such a deeply Texas-based series. But in this Friday night's episode, Tami and Julie Taylor (Connie Britton and Aimee Teegarden) take a mother-and-daughter college tour in Boston, where they visit a number of local colleges. See the Taylors in Harvard Square, at B.U., at B.C.! See them having a heart-to-heart talk on the Tufts library roof with a view of Boston in the background! See about 20 Tufts students on camera as extras! See the show even if you don't care about the Boston angle, because it's so good!

The episode airs this Friday night at 8. The scene with a "Tufts admissions counselor" was filmed elsewhere, but all of the exterior material in the Boston area was filmed here last November.
