63d Primetime Emmy Awards

So far it's been a big night for "Modern Family" as the ABC comedy nabbed four awards in the early going. And then there were two surprises in the lead acting categories: Melissa McCarthy won for "Mike and Molly" and Jim Parsons repeated for "The Big Bang Theory."

It's likely that "Bridesmaids" gave McCarthy a boost who breaks the lock Showtime series' have had on this category for the last couple of years. And many predicted that Steve Carell would get a nice tip of the cap statue on his way out the door of "The Office" but no dice.
