nick-jonas-400.jpgNick Jonas confirmed via Twitter that the "American Idol" team has tapped him for a potential post on next season's judging panel. Rumors have been swirling that the 19-year-old Jonas was up for the gig after US Weekly cited a source last week stating: "[American Idol producers] think he can help bring that younger demo to the show."

In response, Jonas tweeted: "The rumors are true... I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol" on Aug. 4.

N.E.R.D. rapper Pharrell is also rumored to be in talks to join the panel alongside confirmed music maven, Mariah Carey, for this winter's season 12.

What do you think? Should Jonas join "Idol" as a judge? What about Pharrell or Carey?
