After weeks of speculation that Randy Jackson may leave "American Idol," Simon Cowell took to Twitter to share the news that he's not.

Cowell, who sat with Jackson on the "Idol" judges panel for several seasons before he left for the "X Factor," sent out the following tweet yesterday:

There was also talk that Jackson would stay on the show, but leave the judge's table to take on a mentoring role instead. Not so, according to Deadline. Jackson and Fox have not yet confirmed any news about Jackson.

The question remains, though, who will sit beside Jackson and new judge Mariah Carey during season 12?

Other rumored judges have included Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, and Nick Jonas.

Do you think Jackson should stay on as a judge? Who else should get a judging spot?
