'Boy Meets World' spinoff in the works
'90s sitcom "Boy Meets World" is one step closer to a 21st century reboot. Entertainment Weekly confirmed the show's original creator, Michael Jacobs, has signed a deal for a pilot episode of the spinoff show, rumored to be named "Girl Meets World." According to a TVLine report, the potential Disney Channel show would center on the present day life of the teenage daughter of Cory and Topanga Matthews. No confirmation from actors Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel about whether they will reprise their respective roles, but Fishel sent out a cryptic tweet that may be enough to get fans' hopes up.

"Boy Meets World" aired for seven consecutive seasons from 1993-2000 on ABC and continued onto U.S. syndication on ABC Family and the Disney Channel.
