Roslindale-based Jonathan Foley's carpentry company answered a call of duty when HGTV's new series, "Spontaneous Construction," asked his team to give a Raynham couple's kitchen a serious upgrade. The episode, titled "Kitchen Takeover," airs tonight at 7:30 and features Foley's team as they take over Amanda and Kurt Dreystadt's kitchen, "flash mob" style (deemed "task" mobs by the show), giving it a sleek makeover with the help of fellow skilled craftsmen recruited via social media in two days. And yes, in traditional flash mob fashion -- dancing is involved.

Before his small screen debut, Foley chatted with Boston.com readers about tricks of the trade and the upcoming episode.
