It was rock night on "American Idol" Wednesday and Beverly native Angie Miller chose to perform "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence.

According to the judges on the Fox singing competition it was a wise choice.

Nicki Minaj liked that she was able to begin on the piano--something all of the judges have told her they'd like to see her do-- and said her styling was well done. Randy Jackson thought she did an amazing job and called her final note stellar. Mariah Carey enjoyed the edginess of the song and thought it represented her well. Keith Urban agreed that the vocal was strong but wanted her to be less conscious of her surroundings and fall into her songs more emotionally.

In addition to her solo number, Miller and fellow contestant Lazaro Arbos performed a duet of Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" and Jackson called her "amazing, as usual."

On Thursday night's results show Miller will discover if voters agreed with the judges.
