Aly Raisman might just be headed for Mirror ball gold on "Dancing With the Stars." The Needham native dazzled the judges with a sexy Argentine tango Monday night, earning 29 points out of 30. She also impressed the judges later with an energetic jive as part of a trio. Country singer Kellie Pickler and Disney sensation Zendaya have remained the Olympian's top competition, though surprisingly Pickler found herself "in jeopardy" Tuesday night. We'll have to see if her fans will rally to bring her back to the top next week.
So who went home during week eight? "Bachelor" star Sean Lowe wasn't handed the final rose, so to speak. He and and partner Peta Murgatroyd were sent packing. NFL player Jacoby Jones and partner Karina Smirnoff made it through to next week's semifinals along with "General Hospital" star Ingo Rademacher and partner Kym Johnson. The contestants' next round of dances will be determined by viewer tweets.
Highlights during the elimination show included Zendaya's repeat performance of the salsa that got her the first perfect score of the season. Emeli Sandé and Jason Derulo sang and Derek Hough and Jaimie Goodwin, of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 3, took the dance
floor cube (yes, cube!) by seemingly scaling the walls -- and ceiling -- of a rotating box in the form of a sultry red bedroom. Magic? Or camera tricks? Well, either way it was pretty cool.
