The season premiere of "Whose Line Is It Anyway," the first fresh episode of the improv show in seven years, brought in record viewers for the CW on Tuesday night.

The premiere set the record for the CW's most-watched unscripted series premiere in more than six years, reported the L.A. Times. The CW features reality programming, such as "America's Next Top Model," and "Breaking Pointe."
"Whose Line" returned with an average of 2.9 million viewers in its 8-9 p.m. time slot and a 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Original cast members of the sketch comedy show, Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles, are all back for the fun, with host Aisha Tyler at the helm.

"Whose Line" went off the air in 2006 after eight seasons and was formerly hosted by current "The Price is Right" emcee Drew Carey.
