Liam Hemsworth sat down with Conan O'Brien on "Conan," this week and let fans in on some behind-the-scenes dirt from his 2012 film, "The Expendables 2," where he had to film fight scenes with none other than Jean-Claude Van Damme.
"He's a scary person. nice guy to work with but a scary person," Hemsworth said of the action star. "You're not sure if he's going to have a conversation or kick your face in. [Laughs] No, he's a really nice guy. I don't want to talk bad about him because he might kill me."
Hemsworth knows first-hand that Van Damme packs a mean punch (or kick).
"We had a scene where he kicks me in the chest and he wasn't supposed to really hit me in the chest and we had a take and he did a full Van Damme kick and it hit me right in the chest," Hemsworth told O'Brien. "And then [Van Damme] came up and said 'It's okay, it's a controlled kick,' and I said, 'Well it's not that controlled because you hit me'."
"I felt it was an honor to receive that kick," Hemsworth added. "I think if you're going to get kicked by someone, Van Damme is probably a good person to get kicked by."
Would you ever film a fight scene with Van Damme? Sound off in the comments.
